Lead Record (California, straw)
2010
Lead sheet (24” square), cardboard beer box, mallet, digital files of activity

The side of the road east of Sudden Peak, in the western Santa Ynez mountain range, I think.

Over the course of a 3-week road trip in August 2010 across the States in my 1998 Honda CR-V, one lead sheet was continuously hit, tapped, and pressed, recording different parts of the landscape.
